SCHOOL FEES POLICY

Fees

a) Tuition fees for a particular term are due in full by the last day of the previous term. School places can only be secured by timely settlement of fees account as charged. However, a grace period of 7 calendar days will be allowed for fees payments from the Open Day of the previous term. (N/B Term 1 fees are due in December; Term 2 fees are due in April and Term 3 fees are due in August)

b) Any fees payments, made PRIOR to the advice of the newly set fees for the new calendar year, will be treated as an advance only. The differential, if any, has to be settled in full before the start of that term.,


ii) SUBMISSION OF FEES DEPOSIT SLIPS

a) Fees are deposited into the School bank account directly by the parents.

b) Parents are required to submit a stamped copy of the Deposit Slips from the bank to the Accounts Department.

c) In the event of payments made by electronic transfer, parents are required to submit a copy of the same to the Accounts Department.

d) The Accounts Department will match the payments made with the bank statement, to facilitate the issuance of receipts and reconcile the fees accounts.


iii) BANK TRANSFER OF FEES

a) For any bank transfer of the fees, it is the responsibility of the Parent to provide the deposit slip/supporting documents to the Accounts Department, as soon as possible. This includes all payments by cash, direct transfers, electronic bank transfers, and cheques.

b) All bank charges related to deposits shall be borne by the parents/guardian.


iv) REFUND OF PREPAID SCHOOL FEES

a) Refund of fees prepaid shall be made only if the parent has given 30 days advance notice for withdrawal of the child before starting the Term subject to recommendation by the Head of School.
b) No such refund, however, shall be allowed once the child attends the class even for one day and then leaves the School.


v) PAYMENT OF FULL YEARLY FEES IN ADVANCE
a) 5% Discount is allowed on full payment of annual fees, January to December, in advance before the Academic Year starts at the rate of new fees set for the year.

b) Fees for Term 1 and 2 shall be transferred from such prepaid fees in full without considering any discount.

c) The discount shall be allowed in Term 3 and not before.

Penalty And De-Registration For Late Payment Of Fees

  • Fees paid after the expiry of the 7 days grace period which fails within the school holiday shall attract a 10% penalty, to be paid on the outstanding balance along with the fees.
  • After expiry of 7 calendar days from the Open Day of the previous Term, the defaulting students shall not be allowed to attend classes from the first day of the new term while their fees are outstanding. The Head of School shall, accordingly communicate with the parents of all the pupils whose fees are outstanding not to send their children to school unless the fees were paid in full.
  • Children whose tuition fees will not have been paid in full after the expiry of the 7 calendar days from the Open Day of the previous Term, will be deregistered from Nkhwazi Primary School and if the parents will still be interested in their child continuing at Nkhwazi, then the following conditions will apply:
    • There must still be a vacancy for their child
    • Outstanding tuition fees must be paid in full
    • Re-registration fee of K2,500.00 will have to be paid
