The school’s very comprehensive reading schemes are home/school linked. Children cover the basic material at school but take home supplementary reading books to read with parents as they progress through the various graded levels of the schemes.
Strong links between school and home are seen as being vital to the pupils’ welfare. All new children are given settling-in reports after four weeks. Formal reports are issued to parents in July and November and these are usually given out and discussed with class teachers on Open Days
Parents are welcome to make appointments to discuss their children’s progress with class teachers at any mutually convenient time and, where there are further queries or concerns, these may be discussed with the Head of School.
